Here we like to explain how to set up and handle some special features of our devices.

It is necessary that you have a manual of the device by the hand.

You should be used to basic operation the devices. Especially the programming of the different menu points.

How can I realize a real time drive in for example 15 seconds? (For MagMax, DarkVader, MagVader)

Basic operation:

First of all the time drive mode of the device must be set. This is done in menu P12. It must be set to 1. Menu P13 dtermines the maximum time. You should select the smallest possible value (highest precision). The resulting DMX-value for the speed channel is calculated with the converting table or the formula. The next positioning is done with the desired time.

Solution 1 with converting table: (For the beginning)

• Program menu P12 to value 1 (Time drive).
• Select the smallest possible maximum time (1. line). In this example 10min.(1. column).
• Program the 10 in menu P13.
• Select the desired time in this column.
• You can read on the left hand side the required DMX-value (%). 16% In this example.
• Set 16% on the light mixing panel for the speed channel.
• The next change on the position channel starts the move to the new position in 15 seconds.

Solution 2 with formula (advanced):

• Program menu P12 to value 1 (Time drive). 
• Select the smallest possible maximum time. In this example 1min.
• Program the 1 in menu P13.
• Calculate with formula 2 the required speed DMX-value. The result should be 50%. Please note, that we used here 1min. as maximum time.

Check calculation with converting table: (Solution1 with 10min. max time): 15,81 % = 16 %!
